
| Iron-Blue Toner. |
| Use the formula below undiluted. Your prints should be underexposed by approx. 15% as an increase in print density occurs. Experiment to find the best result for your needs. |
| Ferric Ammonium Citrate 8.0g |
| Potassium Ferricyanide 8.0g |
| Acetic Acid (28%) 265ml |
| Distilled water at 53C/130F 500ml |
| Distilled water to make up to 1000ml. |
| Test for any traces of fixer within the print |
| Soak prints in distilled water for approx 10 minutes |
| Place prints in undiluted toner and agitate |
| Remove the print from the toner just before desired tone is achieved |
| Fix prints in a non-hardening fixer |
| N.B: Prints will appear greenish at first but will wash to a clear blue in a water bath |
| Wash prints for 15 minutes in an acidified water bath. This is because alkaline water will weaken the blue tones. |
